25 years of upper back pain, 15 years of lower back pain

Halina: Back pain

Halina came in with a pelvic problem which her orthopedic doctor and neurologist could not diagnose. After looking at her MRI and a nerve test, Tru saw she had a leg length deficiency, pelvic misalignment and weakness. After a prolonged treatment of three months for individual lower extremity strengthening, Halina is down to one physical therapy treatment a week.

Bobbie had ongoing sciatic pain for many years. She twisted getting out of her car and when pain shot down her leg, she couldn’t stand up straight. RL had a compression fracture in his lower back, caused by a fall in September of 2010. The back was completely unstable; he could find no comfortable position and was taking heavy pain medication. A personal referral from a Tru Rehab patient, Judy had a prescription by an orthopedic doctor for hip pain. After an examination, Tru determined her problem was with her back instead of her hip. After receiving an MRI she underwent 8 weeks of physical therapy focusing on core strengthening. Her pain level is currently 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 versus 9 of 10. top

Lucille: Right Shoulder and Arm

Lucille was referred by a pain specialist. She had bursitis and osteoarthritis along with rotator cuff tearing. This was coupled with loss of strength in her dominant arm and numbness and tingling down the entire length of the arm. After treatment she regained strength, can open jars and hold objects away from her body. She is driving, sleeping at night and her range of motion has improved. There was no surgery for her rotator cuff. top

Louis: Elbow Injury, Carpal Tunnel

Louis came to Tru Rehab with a prescription from an orthopedic doctor, who had misdiagnosed his elbow problem, epicondylitis of the elbow (tennis elbow). Tru found the pain was coming from the neck to the elbow and beyond to the hand. Tru’s physical therapists went “outside of the box” to treat the neck and Louis saw a difference in three visits. top
Phyllis: Post Sprained Wrist

Phyllis is in her mid 70’s and had broken her wrist in July 2010. 45 days of treatment has resulted in a massive gain in strength for a woman her age.
